World No Tobacco Day 2022: List of Awards

The “Tobacco Endgame: Zero Hazard・Smoke-free Generation” Publicity Programme received overwhelming support by over 190 companies, organizations, non-governmental organizations, hospitals, schools and individuals. They motivate their members, staff, teachers, students and stakeholders to join the “Smoke-free Sportswear Day” on 31 May by wearing sportswear and doing exercises, in order to encourage smokers to quit smoking for a healthy life and step forward to achieve the Tobacco Endgame goal.

Supporting organizations further promote and spread the smoke-free messages in the community through websites, social media platforms, publications and smoke-free events, effectively encouraged more public to support the programme. From 24 May to 30 June 2022, the top five supporting organizations and schools respectively with the highest number of participants to echo the “Smoke-free Sportswear Day” were awarded the “The Most Active Participation Award—Organization” and “The Most Active Participation Award—School” . “The Most Energetic Supporting Organization” and “The Most Creative Supporting Organization” were also introduced in recognizing the generous support of energetic and creative supporting organizations/schools in promoting the Programme and fostering stakeholders to live out healthy lifestyle through exercise, encouraging more smokers to quit.
