World No Tobacco Day 2023: Wise Mike Plush Doll Teaching Kit (Chinese version only)

Members of the public are welcomed to support smokers to quit by taking part in the “Smoke-free Sportswear Day” and make their own Wise Mike (Smoke-free Ambassador of COSH) plush doll to advise kids to say no to all forms of tobacco products. Teaching kit is available to download now and citizens could follow steps to personalize the dolls at home. Let’s towards a tobacco-free future! Used clothes are also encouraged as the materials.

Kick-off Ceremony for World No Tobacco Day 2023 cum Smoke-free Sportswear Day

To echo World No Tobacco Day, Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health (COSH) organized a kick-off ceremony cum carnival under the theme of “Get Set, Go! Towards our Tobacco-free Future” on 28 May (today) in order to call for the public participation in joining “Smoke-free Sportswear Day” on 31 May. It is the third consecutive year that COSH has held “Smoke-free Sportswear Day” to encourage the members of the public to dress sporty and take part in sport activities, in particular, smokers were recommended to do exercises to increase the chance of successful quitting.

COSH collaborated with UBL to launch four 4-grid comics to call for public’s support on Smoke-free Sportswear Day. T-Bone, the main character in UBL, devoted his earnest efforts in promoting smoking cessation benefits among teammates for the basketball champion. He also encouraged the public to do exercises to boost the success of quitting smoking for a tobacco-free future.

“Smoke-free Run 2022” Virtual Run successfully concluded on 15 June 2022. The results have been uploaded to event website. Should the participants have any enquiries or appeals on the results, please contact Event Secretariat by email to smokefreerun@sportsoho.com or call at (852) 2117 1650 on or before 2 August 2022. (Please note that the results are for checking only. Should there be any violation of regulations or improper records, the Organizer reserves the right to disqualify the corresponding participant.)
